LTC Friesen was raised in the Kansas City, MO area and commissioned as an Aviation Officer in 2007 after graduating as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the University of Arkansas. He has served in the 101st Airborne Division, 1st Infantry Division, 1st Armored Division, Joint Task Force – North (US Northern Command), the Army Staff, and the Joint Staff. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership and staff positions in both combat and garrison environments.
LTC Friesen is a graduate of the Army Aviation Basic Officer Leaders Course, Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, OH-58D Kiowa Warrior and AH-64D Apache Aircraft Qualification Courses, Aviation Captain’s Career Course, Cavalry Leader Course, and Air Cavalry Leader Course. He has also completed the US Army Command and General Staff Officer Course, Air Assault School, and the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape Course.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Theological Studies from Liberty University, and a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University.

MSG Eloi serves as the Senior Military Science instructor, primarily focused on the 3rd-year cadets, while also assisting with all other levels of the program. This role is designed to provide students with real-world experience in working with NCOs and learning Army training methodologies. He will provide primary instruction on military topics, including Drill and Ceremonies, Land Navigation, Basic Rifle Marksmanship, and Field Training Exercises.

Major Ehigie Obasohan served as a commissioned Engineer Officer in the U.S. Army for 16 years. His first deployment took place in Afghanistan in 2011, supporting the Global War on Terrorism. Throughout his career, he has held various positions, including Company Commander, Task Force Electronic Warfare Officer, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Project Manager, and Battalion Operations Officer. CPT Barnes was raised in Chandler, Arizona, and commissioned as a branch-detailed Armor Officer in 2017 from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Upon completion of the Armor Basic Officer Leader’s Course in 2018, he was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th US Cavalry Regiment in the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. While there, he deployed to the Republic of Korea and completed two rotations at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California. When his branch detail ended in 2022, CPT Barnes attended the Logistics Captain’s Career Course at Fort Lee, Virginia. He was then assigned to Fort Jackson, South Carolina where he commanded the Range Support Company for the entire installation, providing range cadre and ammunition support to over 100,000 Trainees attending Basic Combat Training between 2023 and 2025.

Mr. Cook retired from the Army as a Major in November 2018 after more than 20 years of active duty. Since his retirement, he has been teaching ROTC courses. He was commissioned as a Transportation Corps Officer on May 11, 2001, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Austin Peay State University. His military education includes the Army Transportation Officer Course, the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, and the Intermediate Level Education Course. Throughout his career, Mr. Cook has held several leadership positions, including Platoon Leader, Company Commander, and Brigade Logistics Officer. He has completed four combat tours (one in Iraq and three in Afghanistan) and one overseas tour in Germany. Additionally, Mr. Cook has completed 33 credits towards a Master of Military Science degree at American Military University. He finished the Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course in December 2018 and renewed it in December 2023.

Mr. Smith serves as the Recruiting Operations Officer and has been a part of the Baylor Community since 2007. He is responsible for identifying and recruiting viable students to participate in the Baylor army ROTC & TCU Army ROTC program. He holds a bachelors degree in computer science from Prairie View A&M University and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from TCU. Mr. Smith is also a retired Colonel from the US Army Reserve, having served for 30 years. He served in numerous command positions and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Mr. Webster holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Murray State University and a Master of Science in Management from Austin Peay State University. He retired from the U.S. Army in 2019 after a 20-year career as a Human Resources Sergeant, during which he served in various positions and was deployed to Iraq in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom, New Dawn, and Inherent Resolve. He has been married to his wife, Cheree, since 2005, and they have three children: Jonathen, Cheyanne, and Preston.

Mrs. Reed has dedicated nearly fifteen years to the Baylor Army ROTC Military Science Department at Baylor University, where she serves in the Army ROTC program with professionalism, dedication, and heart. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, she brings creativity, innovation, and strong organizational skills to her administrative role while supporting daily operations for cadets, faculty, and staff. Her unique background allows her to think creatively, adapt quickly, and foster meaningful relationships that contribute to a positive, collaborative, and productive environment within the department.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marcie treasures her family deeply. She and her husband, Dwayne, have shared a remarkable thirty-seven years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, and family. Together, they are proud parents to their daughter, Kathryn, and son-in-law, Andrew, and are joyfully anticipating the arrival of twin grandsons in August. Their growing family reflects the lasting legacy of love, support, and commitment they continue to build together.
